Byssus Suites - Syracuse

My best decision yet!

Staying here was an lovely experience! The staff, especially Valentina, were really nice, helping me with a personal issue and brightening my days with her laughter. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, complete with a private steam room. Breakfast featured an excellent variety of local treats. Highly recommended!

we had a very nice stay at this amazing boutique hotel. the room was immaculately clean, also it had smoke detectors. the facilities, such as central heating, a private safe, and a flat-screen tv, were all that was needed.

Location: the hotel was close enough to Syracuse and the Ortigia old town and Ortigia. And it was within walking distance of Mondo Pizza da Mariano, ate there couple of times.

Byssus Suites offered a stunningly renovated space with a luxurious feel.

Unfortunately, while the suite was beautiful, we faced some challenges. The view from our room was quite limited, disappointing. The location, although considered convenient, required a longer walk than anticipated to reach Ortigia was great.

The spacious room was beautifully designed and featured plenty of amenities. Breakfast was a highlight, with a huge spread of local treats each morning. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the historic center and great restaurants. The staff made me feel really welcome 😊

The spacious room had a charming decor, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like a mini-bar and a kettle for tea and coffee. Breakfast served next door included a good selection, from fresh pastries to expertly prepared eggs. The private parking added convenience, with access to explore Siracusa's sights. The restaurant connected to the hotel impressed with delicious fish dishes, so much so I dined there multiple times. The only downside was a slightly fishy smell lingering in the restaurant due to its proximity to the fish market, which might be off-putting for some. The 15-minute walk to the historic center was manageable, but more frequent shuttle services would enhance the experience.

great stay but minor issues

The spacious Standard Suite was beautifully decorated with modern amenities. Every day, we were treated to an excellent breakfast spread that showcased local delicacies. The staff, especially Michele and Valentina, offered personalized recommendations and were genuinely friendly, we felt welcomed throughout our stay. We enjoyed a lovely view of the nearby sea.

The only downside was a slightly longer walk to the historic center than we had anticipated.

We had such a lovely time! The vegan breakfast was amazing, with a huge croissant and desserts that seemed like a dream. The sauna was a perfect way to unwind. Just a tiny thing, sometimes the door needed a firm push to close properly, but it didn't ruin the fun at all 😊

My room here had a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a mini bar fridge, and coffee/tea making equipment, and it was stylish and immaculately clean, plus the view overlooking the sea was marvelous.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable with hypo-allergenic pillows. the location was great, a 10-15 minute walk from Museo Archeologico Regionale Paolo Orsi. - the place had a special atmosphere. Rewritten: The bed was incredibly cozy with hypoallergenic pillows, perfect for a good night's sleep. the location was excellent, only a short 10-15 minute stroll to Museo Archeologico Regionale Paolo Orsi. the place had a unique and inviting atmosphere that added to the overall experience.

The room we stayed in had a bidet which we appreciated, the bedroom was nicely separated, and we enjoyed being close to the Ortigia old town.

The staff here were very helpful with our bags and the suite we booked had a stylish design.
